Here’s a few lessons I’ve learnt in the rollercoaster ride that is life with debt. Always be prepared for any curveball life throws at you Don’t ask questions when you know the answer is something you won’t like Be patient, just be. Don’t hope. Many a times, you will have heard someone tell you, “ask, and ye shall receive”. The thing with patience is that it is most certainly a virtue but there’s no easy or comfortable way to imbibe it in your own ways. Being patient can sometimes make all the difference for you. If your stocks have tanked, sometimes its better to be patient rather than just your cut your losses and move on, and the same holds true for when your stocks soar high. Clearing up debt
College can be a very daunting time for anyone, and it certainly was so for me. I remember being told to read up information for my lectures for books that seemed to me to be as thick as Anna Karenina several times over. I panicked and I stared at those fat epics and I wondered how on earth I would ever be able to read through all of it in time and get time for myself. My barely out of adolescence mind failed to comprehend the possibilities, until a friend of mine pointed out the total number of pages across all four textbooks and divided that by the number of days in the semester. The number totaled up to 20, which isn’t such a bad number; 20 is small, 20 is good, 20 is easy enough to do in a day.
