The Relation Between Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and Obama Administration

One of the financial institutions that have recently integrated with Obama federal loan modification program is Wells Fargo Bank. They have done this through having their own set of regulations for people who need such assistance. In the past few months, we have seen many banks adopting Obama program as they need government’s help more than the customers do.
So, what is the program all banks have adopted? What did Obama introduced that may help home owners as well as the
banks? What is the recent change in Wells Fargo Home Mortgage lending? Being a retail customer, we must know all the factors and declarations regarding home loans or mortgage, especially the ones that benefits you.
One of the major promises made by Obama was helping financial institutions tremendously if they restructure and cut current mortgage rates and help customers to repay their loans quickly. People would strive to make monthly payments to save their home. It would, however, help the economy to recover quickly. The major reason for this economic crisis was inability of people to repay their mortgage. By fixing this problem, the government believes, major problems would be eradicated.
The new program introduced by Obama would help individuals or families who are able to pay more than or equal to 37% of their total monthly income toward their mortgage. If the interest rate is high, the amount they repay toward their
principal would be less. Hence, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage modification program reduces current interest rates, so that it becomes worthwhile for an individual to pay 37%. It is not possible to keep paying more than 37% of the total income for any family.
If an individual or a family, however, keeps paying 37% of their income toward their mortgage for a while, Obama administration would help them to get it down up to 31% or below. Similar to Wells Fargo Home Mortgage plan, there are many financial institutions planning to introduce such program as they would benefit from it, as promised by Obama.
